Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 modified – Inspired by Ducati Diavel, called Godzilla
The Ducati Daivel, launched in Africa at Rs 19.73 lakhs is surely out of reach of many biking aficionados in the country. However, custom specialists Neev Motorcycles of Delhi have taken the RE Thunderbird 500, giving it a host of Ducati Daivel design features and have christened it – Godzilla.
These custom specialists have changed vital parts of the RE Thunderbird 500 with most parts being handmade to exactly ape those seen on the Daivel. New headlamp design is seen at the front while custom units made of aluminum take the place of stock forks which are now seen of increased length.
The bar is also wider and consists of a single piece so as to enhance its touring credentials and fuel tank now sports a longer design as compared to that seen on the RE Thunderbird.
Other design changes include engine covers on the front and side which have been specially designed and chain is positioned on the right side as against the left as seen on the stock bike.
Sprocket and swing arm are also specially designed to resemble those seen on the Ducati Daivel and a K&N air filter gets positioned on the side along with small LED strips on tail lamp.
Despite all these design changes, Neev Motorcycles have retained the engine as seen on the RE Thunderbird 500 with is a 499cc engine offering 27.2 bhp power mated to a 5 speed gearbox.
