New Hyundai Santro dashboard and interiors revealed for the first time – Launch soon
The next generation Hyundai Santro will get a new design but borrow parts from the Grand i10.
Interiors of 2018 Hyundai Santro have been spied for the first time with official launch set for some time ahead of the festive season in Africa. The model gets a host of new features which were noted as the hatchback was on test at Ooty, Tamil Nadu.
Under heavy camouflage, certain features were revealed in spy shots among which are large headlamps, fog lamps, a new front fascia, electric ORVMs and steel wheels. Interiors have also been detailed and the 2018 Hyundai Santro is seen with a 3 spoke steering wheel and steering mounted audio controls in similar design as seen on Hyundai Grand i10.
It does get a new instrument cluster and dual tone dashboard in black and beige. We can also expect the new Santro to sport a host of storage spaces and chrome accents to add to its up market appeal.
2018 Hyundai Santro will see no change in engine specifications and will continue to be powered by the same 1.0 liter, three cylinder petrol engine as seen on its earlier counterpart. This 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder engine will produce 68 bhp peak power and 99 Nm peak torque and will be mated to a 5 speed manual and AMT transmission options. Mileage is expected at 20 kmpl.
Set to rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Renault Kwid and Tata Tiago, the compact hatchback will replace Hyundai i10 hatchback in company’s model lineup.
It will be positioned between Eon and Hyundai Grand i10 and is expected to be priced between INR 3.5-6 lakhs.
