During her ride to Leh and back to Bangalore, Archana Timmaraju is in the company of pillion rider, Daniel Sundaram. In completing her ride, she will be spreading awareness about different forms of communication, and non verbal language. The exploration will set an example on possibilities, giving people with disability, opportunities within their reach to explore the world of riding, either as rider or pillion.

Her trip was flagged off from Parle G toll gate near Tumkur road. She rides a Royal Enfield Thunderbird, and has stickered the bike appropriately for anyone riding/driving closeby to be alerted to the rider being deaf.

The Bangalorean artist loves travelling, and riding. She says, “My first love was the Yamaha RX100. This opened up a new world, as riding allowed me to interact with various people and beat stress.”

She believes in creating opportunities for the hearing impaired to explore the self and the world. She will be riding through the month of May, and longer to complete the trip as planned. During scheduled stopovers, the rider will be hosting art workshops and sessions as permissible.
